It is like a journey through every aspect of our life, because each segment represents an aspect of our life.

· With the Bagua we can take a closer look at our life by observing each area and finding were the energy isn’t flowing so well.

· The way the energy moves through our environment is an indication of the ease or difficulty with which we move through life.

· The Bagua is a template designed to enable us to encourage beneficial energy to flow freely through our homes. It helps us to be aware of our position in the swirling forces of the universe and to harmonize those forces that bring health, wealth and happiness.

The influences in the BaGua are:-

1. Career or Journey.

• Career can mean our job, it can also mean the passage of life and all the possibilities it offers. Often we feel stuck or there are obstacles in our way, of our own making or ones that we perceive others have placed there for us. we need to have a clear passage in order to open endless opportunities to us.

2. Partnership

• The partnership area encompasses close relationships like husband and wife, business partnership, and very close friendships.

3. Family.

• This represent our ancestors, family, friends and work mates

4. Wealth.

• This area is associated with wealth which can also mean more than just money.

5. Tai Chi

• This area should be as clear as possible, it is the centre of the Bagua.

6. Helpful People.

• This area covers relationships with people we do not see very often, or people that are not so close to us.

7. Creativity

• This area represents children, new projects, or anything creative.

8. Wisdom

• This area represents learning, knowledge, study anything to do with thinking.

9. Reputation

• This area represents how you are perceived in the world; famous or infamous, whether you are well known or known only by a few close friends.

The Bagua can be used in many ways. It can be used to chart the locations of the eight influences, in a plot of land, a building or a room within a building. But not all of the influences charted by the BaGua are beneficial as feng shui books and the media would have us believe. Tien Yi, Sheng Chi etc. also get in on the act, so that some influences within for instance a room are beneficial whilst others are harmful.

• Not every Marriage area helps a marriage to succeed and not every Wealth area helps you to get wealthy either due to the effect of Tien Yi, Sheng Chi etc.

• Keep your investments in the “Millionaire Corner”, but not in the Bankruptcy Corner.

• If you wanted to get lots of bargains when you go shopping, you would keep some money in the bargain corner.

• You would keep your wedding photos in the “Marriage” area but keep them out of the “Divorce corner” and the “Matrimonial discord corner”.

• You could also sit in the beneficial areas, or sleep with your head in them, but it’s a good idea to avoid doing that with the harmful influences.
